For this motif you need the following materials:

  • Pencil, fineliner, colored pencils, eraser
  • Mother-of-pearl pen and shimmering decorative hearts
  • craft glue

Outline the look with a pencil. First draw light guidelines.

Then you draw the individual lines with colored fineliners - in the colors with which you would later like to paint the design.

Hatch the individual sections in color with colored pencils ...

... and put shadows by coloring in some places with a little more pressure.

Now erase a few more places - these then act like light reflections.

For handicraft fans: Put fine polka dots on the drawn chain elements with the mother-of-pearl pen.

Now you can stick a few shimmering decorative hearts on the fin as scales.
